Lucky Brand To Observe Black Out Tuesday; All Stores, Website And Corporate Offices Closed Nationwide

LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- A day of commercial disruption and community reflection, displaying solidarity with the Black community and their fight against racial injustice.

With longstanding ties to music culture, as well as a social impact mission rooted in showing gratitude by giving back to the LA community through partnerships with local grassroots programs, Lucky Brand embraces the call to provoke accountability and change.

On Tuesday, June 2, 2020, Lucky Brand's website, stores, and offices will be shuttered. Employees will be given paid time off to reflect on the recent events in Minneapolis and demonstrations throughout our nation. This day away from work is an intentional cease of commerce and typical business operations, both as a statement of unity and empathy for the Black community's ongoing plight. Associates are encouraged to engage with their local community, peacefully demonstrate, partner with officers who protect the right to do so, or volunteer with local organizations to help with the clean-up of destruction caused by looting in Los Angeles neighborhoods, and around the country.

While only one day, Lucky Brand pledges to continue these efforts, establishing internal formats, dialogue, and programming to learn how to be part of the solution and partner with organizations leading the cause for immediate and meaningful change.
