Media Advisory - Governor General to Participate in Virtual Round Table entitled Women's Leadership in the COVID-19 Response to Protect Every Woman and Every Child
OTTAWA, May 27, 2020 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will participate in a round-table event entitled 'Women's Leadership in the COVID-19 Response to Protect Every Woman and Every Child' on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 8 a.m. EDT.
The round table will be co-hosted by Her Excellency Kersti Kaljulaid, President of the Republic of Estonia, and by the Right Honourable Helen Clark, former prime minister of New Zealand and board chair of the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH). The event will focus on the COVID-19 pandemic and the threat it poses to the hard-won gains made in maternal and child health.
The event is organized by Every Woman Every Child (EWEC), together with the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) and Women Deliver.
