LOS ANGELES, May 27, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Freebird, a free iOS and Android app that works with Uber and Lyft to save people money by offering cash back deals and reward points (redeemable for cash) on every ride, and iHeartMedia, America's leading audio company, announced today they have entered into a multi-year strategic partnership to collaborate on the marketing of Freebird's rideshare rewards mobile app across iHeartMedia's multi-platform audio network. Freebird gives consumers a way to save money on their ride share transportation through cash back and points deals from both local merchants and national brands eager to attract and retain customers by driving foot traffic and topline sales.

The partnership will allow Freebird to take advantage of iHeartMedia's expansive audience across various platforms including broadcast radio, digital, social, podcasts and live events. iHeartMedia properties will help build further awareness and engagement of Freebird as a way for consumers to save money on rideshare through cash-back and rewards points while having worry-free fun with safe rides home from brand sponsors encouraging responsible drinking. The partnership will kick off with the "Rev Up America" initiative to support riders safely going back out to restaurants, bars and other local businesses post COVID-19, once government and healthcare conditions have been met. iHeartMedia will partner with Freebird to secure other brand advertising participants to provide cash back rewards to consumers in order to drive traffic and spending at local businesses all of whom are struggling to recover.

"We are excited to partner with iHeartMedia to leverage their reach and our shared demographic to help small and medium-sized businesses in America rebound once it is safe to do so by driving traffic and loyalty in this unprecedented time," said Kurt Brendlinger, founder & chief executive officer of Freebird. "As the economy reopens, Freebird can provide a unique solution enabling any business to directly impact consumer spending through transportation."

"iHeartMedia reaches more than 91 percent of Americans monthly, and can play a pivotal role with Freebird to rev up businesses who need help getting patrons in the door safely and incentivize consumers offering the opportunity to spend more at these businesses, since they saved money on their rideshare to get there," said Peter Volynsky, iHeartMedia's executive vice president of corporate development & ventures. "We are delighted to work with Freebird to 'Rev Up America' during this critical time of need and bring valuable transportation savings to millions of Americans across the country."
