Marineland Partners with Canadian Company FDK Supply Canada Inc. To Get Needed N95 Masks to Niagara First Responders

NIAGARA FALLS, ON, April 7, 2020 /CNW/ - There are 22,000 additional N95 masks in the hands of Niagara Region's EMS and the City of Niagara Falls Fire Service today due to the work of Marineland Canada and Canadian company FDK Supply Canada Inc.

A total of 20,000 N95 masks were delivered to the Niagara Emergency Medical Services, with an additional 2,000 being provided to the City of Niagara Falls Fire Department as well.

"We are so proud of the work being done by front line workers to keep Niagara residents safe and wanted to do our part to help. That's why my team reached out to Mayor Jim Diodati and the Niagara Region Health Network staff to see how we could help," said Marie Holer, of Marineland Canada. "Together with FDK Supply Canada Inc., we were able to secure 22,000 N95 masks for first responders in our community and we are grateful for all the work EMS and Fire Service employees are doing to help our community during this difficult time."

Marineland and FDK Supply Canada Inc. are continuing to seek out opportunities to help the local and regional efforts here in Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region.

"Working with Marineland to help protect the health of first responders in the City of Niagara Falls and the Niagara Region has been a pleasure. It is important work we are proud to play a role in and we look forward to continuing to have a positive impact in helping front line workers protect our communities from the spread of COVID-19," said Ray Okonowski President of FDK Supply Canada Inc.

Marineland Canada's team has been declared an essential service by the Province of Ontario. We are continuing to provide world class care to the animals that call Marineland home. Our staff have implemented additional health and safety protocols to protect our workplace and are continuing to monitor COVID-19 developments in the Province and Region to make decisions regarding our operational calendar for 2020.

"Our priority right now is to do everything we can to help keep people safe and to limit the spread of COVID-19. We look forward to life returning to normal, when it is safe to do so," added Marie Holer.
