Selection Group welcomes the Quebec government's initiative for caretakers during the COVID-19 crisis

LAVAL, QC, April 2, 2020 /CNW Telbec/ - Selection Group welcomes the Quebec government's decision to award a $4-an-hour pay bonus to caretakers across Quebec. The announcement made this afternoon by Quebec Premier François Legault and detailed by Quebec's Minister of Health and Social Services, Danielle McCann, and the president of the Conseil du Trésor, Christian Dubé, represents an important incentive for the entire retirement complex industry.

This health crisis highlights the exceptional dedication of all our employees who work for the benefit of our residents. Seniors represent the most vulnerable group to the virus and the government's insistence on protecting them is necessary. With the prevention measures put in place by our teams and the government, and their rigorous enforcement for our front-line employees, our residents are safer in our complexes than elsewhere.

Quote

" I thank and congratulate the Prime Minister for his leadership and his willingness to equip all housing environments with the adoption of this bonus. Our caretakers are on a mission since the beginning of this crisis, to ensure the safety of our residents. All Selection Group employees devote themselves at all hours of the day and night to listen to them and accompany them in this exceptional situation."

- Réal Bouclin, Founding President and Chief Executive Officer, Selection Group
