Sunset Grill Launches Breakfast Delivery

OAKVILLE, ON, April 1, 2020 /CNW/ - Sunset Grill Restaurants has partnered with third-party delivery platforms Uber Eats and Doordash to bring Canadians' favourite breakfast directly to their doors.

Most Sunset Grill locations across Ontario now offer delivery services, with more expected to be onboard in the coming days.

For a limited time, Sunset Grill is offering two free pancakes with every entrée meal for both delivery and takeout orders until April 11, 2020.

Hungry diners craving Sunset Grill's Famous All Day Breakfasttm? can place their orders on ubereats.com, doordash.com, or through the Uber Eats and Doordash mobile apps. To promote a safer delivery experience, all orders are left at the customer's door.

Customers are encouraged to use the Sunset Grill website to find the nearest participating location. Operating hours will vary by location as well; however, the chain has recommended that franchise partners consider temporarily extending hours to offer breakfast for dinner.  

The long-anticipated launch of delivery was in part a response to the slowdown of in-restaurant dining due to the COVID-19 global pandemic that has hurt the foodservice industry.

Sunset Grill was quick to respond to the changing landscape of the restaurant sector by putting the safety of staff and guests first with the announcement of extra sanitization measures on March 13 and the voluntary closure of its dining rooms on March 16.

As part of ongoing health and safety measures, franchise partners have also been instructed to:

• Screen staff before they enter the restaurant (all staff will have their temperature taken before their shift to ensure safety); staff are not permitted to work if they don't feel well for whatever reason
• Practice safe social distancing
• Follow the strictest hygiene protocol

The chain continues to offer call ahead and pick-up takeout services at participating locations with payment being accepted at the door.
