MassMEDIC Hosts Virtual Town Hall to Discuss COVID 19 and MedTech

BOSTON, March 31, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC) will host its next Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, April 2 at noon ET via Zoom. This weekly video conference is open to all members of the MedTech community and will feature expert presentations, followed by Q & A and networking.

Topics for this week's event include:

• A breakdown of the CARES Act and COVID-19 updates with Anthony DeMaio, Director of Government Relations, ML Strategies.
• A review with Stacy Swider, Director, UMass SBIR Center of Excellence on COVID-19 R&D funding opportunities.
• Tips and a Group Discussion on How to Motivate Teams Remotely with Scott Schorer, President & CEO, GI Dynamics.

These virtual gatherings are intended to keep our members up to date, share knowledge on current issues impacting healthcare and our industry, and provide a regular opportunity for networking and discussion.

MassMEDIC is launching the "MedTech Virtual Town Hall" in part as an alternative to in-person events. The online video conference will be held regularly and is open to all MassMEDIC members. These virtual gatherings are intended to keep our members up to date, to share knowledge on current issues impacting healthcare and our industry; and provide an ongoing opportunity for networking and discussion. This 45-minute interactive video chat will feature expert voices on a range of subjects including regulatory news, HR and remote working, innovation and our industry's response to the COVID-19 outbreak, as well as break-out sessions of smaller groups.

Spots will be limited and reserved on a first come first served basis. An audio recording of some Town Hall calls will be made available to all MassMEDIC members. Attendees will receive the attendee list.
