InventHelp Inventor Develops Catheter Barrier (HUN-804)


PITTSBURGH, March 23, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- "I work as a nurse and have witnessed medical workers mistakenly inserting a catheter within the vagina instead of the urinary meatus," said an inventor from Spring, Texas. "This inspired me to develop a means to aid in the placement of a Foley catheter."

She developed the VAGISHIELD that facilitates the placement of Foley catheters to prevent them from inadvertently entering the vagina. This could reduce the risk of infection. This invention would be easy and simple to use.
