Savannah Quarters® Team Awards $500 Gift to P.A.C.K. of Savannah

SAVANNAH, Ga., March 23, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On March 3, 2020, the Savannah Quarters® team presented P.A.C.K. of Savannah with a $500 check. The donation was the result of the Savannah Quarters®' Giving Tuesday social media contest that ran November 26 ? December 3, 2019. Members of the Savannah Quarters®' community submitted their nomination for their favorite nonprofit or charity, then one organization was randomly selected to receive the $500 gift.

"The community's participation was amazing," said Ashley Jacobsen, Savannah Quarters® Marketing Manager. "We had nearly 50 nominations throughout the week on our various social media channels, and we are thrilled that the winner was P.A.C.K.! Their work is so important for the children of Savannah, as they make a difference every day."

"This gift will help ensure that school children who receive free or reduced lunch and breakfast at school during the week are not at risk for hunger on weekends and holidays."

P.A.C.K. (People of Action Caring for Kids) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping meet the basic needs of children in the community while teaching children to serve others. P.A.C.K. began in 2014 with Stone's family packing 50 food bags a week in her kitchen. Today, P.A.C.K. has grown to a force of volunteers packing and delivering more than 10,000 bags each month.
