CARLSBAD, Calif., March 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- It is with great sadness, we report the death of the legendary Serbian American fine artist, Arso Ivanovich, died last December at the age of 71. He will be greatly missed and our deepest sympathy goes out to his family, friends, and fans who loved him and his work.

The early years for Arso were dark and tempered with harsh reality. Arso drew inspiration from the difficult experience in the aftermath of a war torn country. "My art is my world. Arso developed his unique technique of crystallizing watercolors in 1969 and later oils as his artistic signature on the history of fine art. In addition, Arso's catalog of work has evolved over the years from classical realism mastery to his own unique fanciful and transitory dreamscapes. Arso's work has compelled art critics to compare him to Cezanne, Klee, Picasso, Dali, Chagall, and Degas. His collections extend from lithographs, watercolors, and oils; to wood carvings and sculptures. Though artists and writers speculate, crystallization is a secret technique Arso guarded jealously. Arso studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo before coming to America in 1967. He was prepped at the Sarajevo Teach Training Academy in Tulza and later received a Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of Milwaukee. He taught graduate students fine art at the university for 6 years and tutored graduate students privately over 20 years. Some of his students include Welton Brady, Steve Horvat (impressionist), Harold Wilson, Chairman of Cardinal Stritch College, WI, and Mary Becker.
Arso's work has been exhibited internationally since 1969. He has been exhibited as a solo artist over 2 dozen times and participated in dozens of international collective artists shows. Arso was a featured artist in the Inspiration International Art Book, 2017 edition and published his solo artist monograph book in 2012. Arso is registered in American Art Who's Who 1995-2000 editions. Arso has also been a featured artist on dozens of television and video broadcasts internationally. In 1984, the local press at the World Art Expo in New York chose Arso's artistic technique as the most interesting of the event.
