RCU - Responsible Cannabis Use Partners With CarriersEdge to Promote Cannabis Education in the Workplace

TORONTO, March 12, 2020 /CNW/ -- RCU - Responsible Cannabis Use is proud to partner with CarriersEdge to equip truck drivers with a cannabis e-learning course. CannEd, developed by RCU, prioritizes safety and responsibility by promoting cannabis education.

This partnership provides CarrierEdge's clients access to the e-learning course, CannEd, at an exclusive price. CannEd allows drivers to better understand the various onset and the duration of effects for various cannabis products, provincial laws and penalties, impaired driving laws and how and when to disclose cannabis use to their manager. The course can be completed by drivers on a computer or mobile device.

As per Stats Canada, more than one in 10 cannabis users stated that they consume cannabis at or before work. In September 2019, RCU conducted a Canada-wide survey to understand Canadians' knowledge of cannabis at work. The results showed that four in 10 people, managers and employees, do not know how long the effects of cannabis last.

In a legalized market, employers have a responsibility and a vested interest to educate their employees on cannabis in the workplace.
