Bill 161, Smarter and Stronger Justice Act, 2020
TORONTO, March 12, 2020 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on Justice Policy will meet to consider Bill 161, An Act to enact the Legal Aid Services Act, 2019 and to make various amendments to other Acts dealing with the courts and other justice matters.
The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Toronto on Monday, March 23, Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation on Bill 161 are required to register by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 (EDT).
Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the Bill may send a written submission by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2020 (EDT).
