TORONTO, Feb. 26, 2020 /CNW/ - Midwives across Ontario are hand-delivering letters to their Conservative MPPs urging them to close the gender pay gap for midwives. This week, the Association of Ontario Midwives celebrated a historic decision from the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. The tribunal ordered government to provide back pay and radically change its compensation-setting practices to ensure midwives no longer face a gender penalty on their pay.
