DULO Launches New Line of Sustainable Performance Men's Dress Shirts

AMSTERDAM, Feb. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Stop choosing between performance and sustainability when it comes to clothing. Today, DULO launched a new line of men's performance dress shirts made of 100% biodegradable fabric on Kickstarter.

Now, men can enjoy the benefits of performance clothing without sacrificing care for the environment. With its biodegradable fabric, recycled premium polyester sewing thread and wooden buttons, DULO offers the comfort and performance men expect with a significantly reduced environmental impact over other clothing brands.

"We launched DULO to provide men with a low-maintenance, functional and stylish shirt, but learned just how harmful the traditional apparel industry has been to the environment," said Marin Gerov, co-founder of DULO. "When you know better, you do better. We set out to create clothing that offers what people have come to expect, but do so while thinking of the planet we're living on, too."

Every time an article of traditional performance clothing is washed, tiny microplastics are released into the water and environment. These nonbiodegradable plastics contribute to the eight million tons of plastic waste entering the oceans annually. DULO is different. When washed, microplastics released from DULO shirts are biodegradable and will degrade naturally in a matter of a few years, not centuries. What's more, if a DULO shirt ends up in a landfill after years of wear, it'll decompose into elements that can be used by the environment and be converted into green energy.

What makes DULO unlike other iron-free or performance shirts is its use of fabric. Each shirt is made of responsibly sourced Oeko-Tex certified Amni Soul Eco Fabric and Coats Epic EcoVerde threads. The result is a quick-drying, wrinkle-resistant, antibacterial, soft-to-the-touch shirt with a four-way stretch. It's machine washable, too. Even the packaging is sustainable with DULO shirts, which are shipped in 100% recycled paper transport boxes and arrive to customers in 100% recycled paper boxes.

DULO is available to pre-order in white, black or navy in slim, tall and regular fit shirts in sizes ranging from S to XXL. To pre-order, visit pr.go2.fund/DULO.

About DULO
DULO was created on the premise that looking great shouldn't take extra time. After realizing that up to two hours every week was spent ironing dress shirts, Marin Gerov and Julian Samarjiev founded DULO to get that time back. As they researched the industry, they vowed to produce garments that were sustainable and biodegradable. The result is a performance dress shirt company that sacrifices nothing in quality while caring for the environment. For more information, visit http://www.weardulo.com.
