Vizient to Participate in FI HFMA & CHEF's 2020 Managed Care Symposium

Vizient, Inc. announced today it will participate in the First Illinois chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association & Chicago Health Executive Forum's Managed Care Symposium. The event will be held at University Club in Chicago Feb. 6 with topics focused on improving performance through value-based transformation, Illinois Medicaid Updates and other topics that could impact providers and patients.

David Levine, M.D., group senior vice president, advanced analytics and product management for Vizient will join the C-suite panel, "Quality ? How Providers are Measured, Ways to Enhance Performance, and Pitfalls." The panel will be held during the general session from 3:15-4:30 p.m.

"As health care providers transition from the pay-for-service model to value-based care, it's more important than ever that we share successes and best practices," said Levine. "By continuing to engage physicians and other clinicians in evidence-based, data-driven solutions, we will further advance the shared goal of improved quality and lowered costs."

Levine leads the Vizient Center for Advanced Analytics, which develops risk-adjustment methodologies and ways to increase engagement of physicians and other clinicians. Prior to joining Vizient in 2010, Levine served as medical director of the emergency department at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago.

First Illinois is a chapter of HFMA, an association of individuals who organize to improve financial management of health care institutions and related patient care organizations. CHEF is the second largest chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a professional organization for health care leaders.
