Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Los Angeles Announces Nationwide Search for New CEO
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Los Angeles (Advancing Justice-LA) has launched a nationwide search for a new Chief Executive Officer. The search is a first for the organization, which was previously led by civil rights leader and attorney Stewart Kwoh. Kwoh founded the organization in 1983 and built it into a leading voice for Asian Americans in the U.S.

"For the past 36 years under Stewart's leadership we've spearheaded civil rights advocacy for vulnerable Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities at the local, regional and national level. In 2019, Stewart Kwoh announced the transition from his role as President and Executive Director of Advancing Justice-LA due to health and personal reasons. He will continue to hold the title of Founder, working with the organization on development and coalition-building.
