Bears for Humanity Partners With United Airlines to Provide SAFE, ORGANIC Kid-Friendly Mascot, Ben Flyin

CUPERTINO, Calif., Jan. 28, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Bears for Humanity is proud to announce that they have partnered with United Airlines on a mission to provide the airline's mascot, Ben Flyin, who has lit up the faces of more than 68,000 children in need to whom United has delivered Ben Flyin since he was brought into the world in 2012.

The Bears for Humanity Mission is to manufacture safe, GOTS Certified Organic, and Eco-friendly products, protect the environment, create fair trade living wage jobs, and give back to causes for children, animals, and the environment. This aligns with the mission of United Airlines to become among the most eco-conscious United States-based carriers. And now that effort extends to the Chicago-headquartered carrier's charming, kid-friendly mascot called Ben Flyin.

United Airlines announced recently that the mascot bear is back from hibernation in a much more environmentally friendly iteration thanks to the support from Bears for Humanity.

Last year alone, 1,200 United employees and their friends and families delivered more than 10,000 bears at 152 Ben Flyin delivery events in 31 different countries, ranging as far afield as Brazil, Ethiopia, Germany, South Korea, and Taiwan, among other countries. Now, with the partnership between United Airlines and Bears for Humanity, that mission can continue with both companies' focus on eco-conscious products.

United Global Community Engagement Vice President Sharon Grant noted: "Our 2019 bears are ethically made, safe for children of all ages, and are manufactured with eco-friendly materials. We're excited for our employees to bring smiles to deserving children as we support a more sustainable future by using a more environmentally-conscious manufacturing process."

Just how eco-friendly is the new Ben Flyin? Well, he's free of chemicals, pesticides, and heavy metals. He's also made with 100 percent certified organic cotton on the exterior, recycled plastic bottles for the interior, and is world fair-trade certified from start to finish. Bears for Humanity is dedicated to safety, health, and sustainability for future generations. They have spent the last several years rigorously researching and developing the world's first and only Organic Fur Fabric. Bears for Humanity manufactures Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic plush toys, gifts and apparel souvenirs made from with zero chemicals, pesticides or heavy metals.

"We are proud to partner with United Airlines to empower United employees to give safe, organic and ethically made Ben Flyin bears to children around the world. We are excited to see United Airlines set the standard for companies around the world to adopt eco-friendly sustainable and fair trade sourcing model in their procurement."
