TORONTO, Jan. 8, 2020 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) will consider whether to accept a Settlement Agreement entered into between IIROC staff and Gravitas Securities Inc.
The Agreement concerns allegations that Gravitas Securities Inc. failed to ensure that the acceptance of orders for Creative Wealth Monthly Pay Trust were either within the bounds of good business practice or suitable for certain clients.
The hearing is not open to the public but will be open should the Panel accept the agreement. If accepted, the Panel's decision and the Settlement Agreement will be made available at www.iiroc.ca.

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Gravitas Securities Inc.'s conduct in November 2017. Gravitas Securities Inc. is an IIROC-regulated firm.
