Crown Volvo Cars Enhances Buying Experience With New Concept Dealership

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Dec. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Crown Volvo Cars announced its grand opening of a new Volvo dealership located at 6001 34th Street in St. Petersburg.

Incorporating the Volvo Retail Experience, this new dealership emphasizes a modern Scandinavian design. The new 23,943-square foot building is the epitome of comfort and convenience and highlights the underlying idea that modern life is stressful, so the environment must be relaxing.

"We want our Volvo customers to feel relaxed in our new home and feel like their time with us was pleasurable and free of stress," says Ken Feck, Crown Volvo's General Manager. "The showroom has a living room with beautiful Scandinavian leather and wood-designed furniture. An adjacent central café encourages customers to simply relax and surround themselves with new Volvo cars."

Volvo encourages sustainability. Crown built a dealership that integrates materials selected to incorporate high pre- and post-consumer content, recycled content and renewable resources. The showroom architecture has been designed with an etched glass façade to bring in as much natural light as possible. Subtle LED lighting, cast the inventory of showroom vehicles in a glow while using very little electric power. This, combined with the oak veneer around display windows, has created a warm and friendly experience that highlights the Scandinavian heritage of Volvo.

Jim Myers, Crown's president, explained, "By incorporating green building principles into the design and construction, we have the opportunity to reduce environmental impacts through conservation of energy and water resources. At the same time, we provide a healthier indoor environment for our customers and employees. We know this will be a great value to everyone in the Volvo family."

In addition to the showroom and service reception areas, the all-new Crown Volvo Cars service department also received plenty of attention. Air conditioning and high-grade insulation will allow the service shop to accurately control its climate for the comfort of Crown Volvo service technicians. The service shop was expanded with more capacity to serve Pinellas County and new technology and equipment means Crown Volvo Cars is now a state-of-the-art Volvo service facility.
