Attorney Margaret "Peggy" O'Connell Runs Unopposed in the Primary for Circuit Court Judge in DuPage Count

LOMBARD, Ill., Dec. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Peggy ran a successful primary campaign, with no objections or challenges. She collected over 1,500 signatures, more than three times the required number, which is 500. Peggy now turns her focus to the upcoming election in November 2020.

Having served as an Assistant State's Attorney and as a private family law, divorce, and criminal defense attorney, Peggy has years of valuable experience practicing law. She also received the Inspirational Woman Award from the DuPage County Association of Women Lawyers. She is the current Vice President of the DuPage County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Peggy decided to run for Circuit Court Judge to ensure that more Democrats and women are represented on the DuPage County bench. If victorious, Peggy would be the first woman elected directly to serve as a Circuit Court Judge in the history of DuPage County. With years diligently working as a prosecutor and private defense attorney, Peggy will perform her duties as a judge with the utmost integrity and a comprehensive understanding of the law.

The Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit is committed to serving DuPage County residents by providing a fair and competent justice system that fosters the public trust and confidence.

"With more than 28 years of experience practicing in the public and private sectors, I am confident in my qualifications to serve DuPage County residents. The time has come for the DuPage County courts to reflect all of the citizens of DuPage County," O'Connell commented.
