STEMscopes PreK-12 Curriculum is Named a 2019 Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence Winner

The STEMscopestm PreK-12 Curriculum has been named a winner in Tech & Learning's 2019 Awards of Excellence program. Used as a core or supplementary science curriculum in traditional, blended, and 1:1 classrooms, STEMscopes was recognized in the "Best Use of a Product in a School" category.

The prestigious Awards of Excellence program honors innovative applications and technology that break new ground and help advance education in K-12 school districts and classrooms. Entries are considered for one of four categories and are judged by a panel of experts who select those products that are improving the way educators work and students learn.

Incubated at Rice University and developed by Accelerate Learning, the STEMscopes PreK-12 Curriculum suite includes STEMscopes NGSS 3D, STEMscopes K-12, and STEMscopes Early Explorer. STEMscopes combines an award-winning digital curriculum, supplemental print materials, and ready-made exploration kits with a 24/7 professional development portal to support student and teacher success. It is built from the ground up to address the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), individual state standards, and early childhood standards.

"The Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence have topped off an incredible year of awards and industry recognition for our STEMscopes products," said Vernon Johnson, president and CEO of Accelerate Learning. "We are humbled and gratified to know that educators consider STEMscopes among the best of the best STEM classroom solutions."

"For 40 years, Tech & Learning has reported on how edtech products are improving teaching and learning," said Tech & Learning Group Publisher Christine Weiser. "In keeping with this mission, our 2019 Awards of Excellence contest focused on stand-out products that are unique in the K-12 market and helping schools solve specific problems."

Awards of Excellence winners will be recognized in the December/January issue of Tech & Learning magazine and at a reception during the TCEA Convention & Exposition in February 2020 in Austin, Texas.
