Clairvoyant Networks and AvantGuard Create the First of a New Generation of Monitoring Solutions for Older Adults

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Clairvoyant Networks, LLC, an award winning provider of remote monitoring technology for family and professional caregivers, announced today that the company is collaborating with third-party event monitoring leader AvantGuard Monitoring Centers to launch a hybrid solution that enables both family caregivers and professional monitoring companies to remotely monitor and connect with loved ones at the same time. With the integration of Clairvoyant Network's Theora Connecttm GPS tracking smartwatch and the AvantGuard professional monitoring call center people and technology, care recipients with Alzheimer's, dementia and other conditions involving memory loss can have the benefit of their family and professionals simultaneously looking out for them.

This new solution combines the proven Theora® Care remote monitoring with the AvantGuard Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) call center technology to offer an additional level of emergency coverage. The Clairvoyant Theora Connect wearable is built on a non-proprietary Android®-based platform, which was a key driver in the integration of AvantGuard's call center support.

The stylish Theora Connect wearable works with the Theora Linktm smartphone app, enabling caregivers to track non-clinical activity and behavior patterns, set up Safe Zones, monitor GPS location, and provide two-way communication?all important aspects of Alzheimer's, dementia and Autism care management. The innovative wearable also provides 4G/LTE support, with forward compatibility with future cellular networks.

Consumer-friendly technology is necessary to fill the gap to cover the 6 million Americans currently living with Alzheimer's and other age-related conditions requiring caregiving oversight, plus conditions that often require oversight including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Parkinson's disease, Down Syndrome, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

"We are excited to see this wearable available to help protect and provide peace of mind to subscribers and caregivers," expressed Justin Bailey, President of AvantGuard Monitoring Centers. "With this new offering, caregivers have the added security of a professional monitoring company behind them. AvantGuard's professional call center technology provides an extra level of support to caregivers, monitoring 24/7 even when the caregiver is not available."

"Family caregivers can play a critical role in maximizing their loved one's independence, reducing ER visits and hospital re-admissions, but they need some tools," explained Stephen Popovich, CEO of Clairvoyant Networks. "This collaboration brings the best of both worlds together with a direct link to the care recipient via the Theora Link smartphone app for location, communication and wandering monitoring for the family caregivers, plus the top performing AvantGuard first responder link on the wearable in case of an emergency."

The Theora Connect wearable with Theora Link smartphone app and AvantGuard Monitoring Centers emergency link will be available January 2020.
