TORRID Launches Film Series Featuring Style Icon Barbie Ferreira


LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, TORRID, the fastest growing retailer of apparel, intimates, and accessories for curvy women sizes 10 to 30, debuts the first of four short films starring fashion and pop icon Barbie Ferreira. Inspired by the confidence we see in our favorite women, TORRID Stories, a series of stylized films stars Barbie Ferreira as the girl who's always the life of the party and spreader of good vibes?even when she finds herself in the occasional predicament. Emboldened by the latest looks from TORRID, she shows us that when the going gets tough, the tough still looks fabulous. As a passionate supporter of women, TORRID partnered with award-winning Director Sasie Sealy, who is known for her focus on female-led narratives and championed a female-led production crew which brought a deep authenticity to the story arc.

Just in time for the upcoming holiday season, the debut film, Locked Out, centers around Ferreira's character who finds herself in a less than ideal situation. By using her confidence and moxie, and a little help from the latest TORRID Curve styles, she turns a potentially embarrassing situation into a memorable and humorous win. TORRID's intimates and apparel, which are renowned for unparalleled fit for curvy bodies of all shapes, are seen throughout the digital film series propelling the series' heroine through her trials and tribulations thanks to unmatched fit, fantastic style and her relentless pursuit to look and feel her best.
