Wolters Kluwer Leaders Named by Accounting Today as Top Influencers in the Accounting Profession

Two Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting leaders in North America were recognized nationally among the top in the profession by tax and accounting publication, Accounting Today. In its newly published list of "Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting" for 2019, Accounting Today named Jason Marx, CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting, North America and Jim McGinnis, EVP and General Manager, US Professional Market, Wolters Kluwer Tax and Accounting North America, to the annual list of top thought leaders and visionaries who are shaping the future of the profession.

Accounting Today recognized Marx for "bringing new capabilities to accounting and tax professionals" that help them navigate the changing landscape and take advantage of new technologies to help grow, manage, and protect their businesses and their clients' businesses. McGinnis was honored for being "a prominent advocate for a technological transformation of the field, encouraging accountants to make the most of the new and emerging tools available to them, and to embrace the new business models that go along with them."

Accounting Today selected the honorees from a long list of thought leaders and change-makers in the profession that included top executives, regulators, firm managing partners, educators, consultants and others. Marx has been named to the list in previous years and McGinnis is featured for the first time.

This latest recognition follows several awards Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting received this year for its executive leadership, including the 2019 SIIA CODiEtm CEO of the Year Award for Karen Abramson, CEO of the Tax & Accounting Global Division. Abramson was also awarded a Silver Stevie® in the Most Innovative Woman of the Year ? Technology category at the 2019 Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
