John Marshall Bank Hires Joe Chirico as Senior Vice President / Market Executive ? MD


John Marshall Bank is pleased to announce Joe Chirico as their new Senior Vice President, Market Executive in Maryland. Joe has over 30 years of experience in banking within the DC Metropolitan area, with a targeted focus on de novo business development, commercial banking and executive leadership. Before joining John Marshall Bank, Joe was Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking with Wells Fargo for 6 years. As SVP, Chirico oversaw the management and growth of an extensive portfolio with an industry focus on real estate, technology and nonprofits.

Joe graduated from the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. He later went on to obtain an MBA from Monmouth University in New Jersey followed by an advanced education from Georgetown University's Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He began his career in New York, later relocating to the DC Metro area and serving in leadership positions within local financial institutions including Capital One and United Bank. During his 15 year tenure at Capital One, Joe was responsible for sourcing and managing a middle market credit portfolio with over $150MM in commitments and led the "Maryland State Commercial Middle Market" banking team.

Joe is actively involved in the Washington Metropolitan community. He has held several leadership positions as a Board Member of multiple organizations such as the Universities at Shady Grove Advisory Board, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and Bethesda Green. Joe was also appointed by the mayor to serve as Director of the Washington DC Workforce Investment Council from 2001 ? 2006.
