Learn What It Truly Means to be a Christian in Atinuke Olashore's New Book, On Bended Knees

LAGOS, Nigeria, Dec. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Bended Knees is a compilation of Atinuke Olashore's reflections on daily life as well as her own and other people's experiences. She educates her readers about what it means to be a Christian looking to follow Christ's example. With love and God in the center of relationships, all people can find the opportunity to share His love with others, even if worldly beliefs sometimes label others as difficult to love. The writer tells her audience the harsh truth?humans are difficult to love, but God's ultimate command is to love. Because of His unconditional love, He becomes an example meant to be followed.

All people, Christian or not, experience hardships in life. There are those who live a life of luxury and comfort, but their social and economic status do not exempt them from opportunities to think beyond themselves and be good to others. When faced with unfamiliar situations, though, the confusion and fear might lead anyone astray. This is particularly apparent with people who grow too attached to their worldly possessions and forget that this wealth won't be theirs to keep when their time comes.

"We need to develop our relationship with Him to the level where we hear when He is speaking," the author calls out to those who are too preoccupied with all of their present problems that they forget God is trying to reach out to them. "He can speak to us through His Word, songs, while praying, through a friend, through the word being preached, books or through anything He has created. You have to watch out for the signs and His voice. Calm yourself down and listen for His voice, you will hear Him speak in the mighty name of Jesus."

Atinuke Olashore shares different Bible passages such as the tales of Job and David as examples of how someone can look past their suffering and yearn to please the Lord. She doesn't hide the fact that all of the heavy burdens placed on one's shoulders can be overwhelming, but that these are also opportunities to praise Him. The author encourages her audience to lament, mourn, and cry out when the pain is too hard to bear, and trust that God will lift these burdens because He hears His people's cries and that He is a merciful God.

"A life without Christ is truly a life going nowhere. It is my strongest desire that you come to the true knowledge of God and accept His offering of new life to you today," Atinuke Olashore reminds readers that while God is a generous and loving Father, everyone must obey His will to receive the gift of new life that He offers. "The Christian life is definitely not an easy one, but I can assure you that it is a great one. With Christ at the centre of your life you can be assured of a brighter tomorrow, because His thoughts towards you are good and not evil."
