The NCH Asia Pacific Regional Leaders Spread NCH CARE Spirits

Celebrating 100th years of community service, the NCH Asia Pacific regional leaders spent a meaningful day packing 100 bags of food and comfort items for the children of Concordia Children's Services.

Concordia Children's Services is a Philippine-based child welfare agency that provides both residential and community-based programs for orphans and assists children from poor areas.

The event also oversaw the delivery of 400L of NCH disinfectant EVERBRITE for use at the Mindanao Earthquake Evacuation Centers. NCH CARES' donation was received by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) XI Chairman Mr. Manuel Luis Ochotorena. The disinfectants are for immediate distribution and use at the Mindanao earthquake evacuation centers to help prevent the spread of germs and viruses that may cause illnesses onsite.

The Mindanao region was struck by three successive earthquakes. A powerful 6.5-magnitude temblor on October 31, following two previous quakes on October 29 (magnitude 6.6) and 16 (magnitude 6.3).

The activity and the turn-over ceremony were part of the annual Asia-Pacific Leadership and Strategic Planning session held in Manila Nov 15-19th, 2019 and attended by NCH country managers from Australia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam and the Levy family from NCH US Headquarters.

The NCH Cares program runs across 55 global locations with the goal of contributing to 100 non-profit organizations by the end of the year. Plus, NCH Australia packed toys into 100 shoeboxes for the 100 kids in developing countries throughout the Asia Pacific region on 22 Nov.
