Oksana Malysheva Wins Silver Stevie® Award in 2019 Stevie Awards For Women In Business


Oksana Malysheva, CEO and Managing Partner of Sputnik ATX, has been named the winner of a silver Stevie® Award in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year ? Business Services category in the 16th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run? worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world's premier business awards.

"We come to work everyday at Sputnik ATX with a mission to help startup founders reach their full potential," said Oksana Malysheva. "Starting a company is not intuitive or easy but the journey is worth it. I am honored to receive this recognition from the Stevie Awards for Women in Business and would like to dedicate it to any female entrepreneur wanting to make her voice heard."

Sputnik ATX is an Austin-based accelerator that funds and mentors growth companies. Startups accepted into the Sputnik ATX program receive $100,000 in seed funding and three months of structured, tailored mentoring from venture capitalists Oksana Malysheva and Sputnik ATX Co-Founder, Joe Merrill. Since its start in October of 2017, Sputnik ATX has incubated 23 startup companies.

More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 90 categories. Oksana Malysheva won in the Entrepreneur of the Year category for companies with 10 or less employees.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 150 business professionals around the world, working on eight juries.

"In its 16th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received an outstanding body of nominations from women in organizations of all types, in 25 nations," said Maggie Gallagher, president of the Stevie Awards. Sputnik ATX is now accepting applications for its winter cohort. To be eligible to apply entrepreneurs are required to: have a minimum viable product, have at least one customer and live within a 300-mile radius of Austin (including San Antonio, Dallas and Houston) or agree to move their businesses within that radius if accepted.
