Polymer Chemistry Innovations Taking Applications for $2000 Scholarship to Women in STEM Programs

TUCSON, Ariz., Nov. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Polymer Chemistry Innovations (PCI), a manufacturer of novel polymers and monomers, is awarding one female student $2000 towards her education in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) higher education program.

This is Polymer Chemistry's inaugural scholarship award.

Polymer Chemistry Innovations began in 1990, when the founder, Dr. Bernard Gordon III, PhD, was working as a professor of polymer science at Penn State University. He saw an opportunity to capitalize on a niche market by developing a novel process of producing poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline), later trade named Aquazol, while remaining cost effective for customers. This family-owned company is now into its second generation of operations, under the leadership of Carly Gordon, PCI's Executive Director.
