Enforcement Notice - Hearing - IIROC Begins Disciplinary Action Against Winnipeg Investment Advisor Thomas William Dunn

WINNIPEG, Nov. 15, 2019 /CNW/ - An appearance has been scheduled before a Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) for the purpose of setting a date for the disciplinary hearing in the matter of Thomas William Dunn.

The discipline hearing concerns allegations that Mr. Dunn engaged in a short-term trading strategy that was inconsistent with good business practices and not suitable for two clients.

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Dunn's in August 2016. The alleged violations occurred while was a Registered Representative and Portfolio Manager with the Winnipeg branch of CIBC World Markets Inc., an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Dunn is currently a Registered Representative at the Winnipeg branch of  PI Financial Corp.

The set date appearance is open to the public, unless the Hearing Panel orders otherwise. The date for the discipline hearing will be made available at www.iiroc.ca.
