Platform Science Recognized on CNBC's Coveted Upstart 100 List

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Platform Science, an enterprise IoT fleet management platform, has been recognized by CNBC as one of its 100 fast-growing, early stage start-ups to watch on their 2019 Upstart 100 list. The list honors companies based on a wide-range of quantitative metrics including scalability, sales and user growth, intellectual property and more. Platform Science was chosen amongst hundreds of top-tier contenders to make the final list, which was announced on November 12, 2019.

Founded in 2014, Platform Science fills a need in the transportation space that lets trucking fleets eliminate waste and save time and money. The company's open platform technology streamlines processes, encourages the development of additional apps by third parties, and provides the infrastructure for cross-application data flows.

The CNBC Upstart 100 list identifies those companies who are breaking industry barriers and using innovation to create new solutions in their given field. Recipients must also be less than five years old, privately-owned and received no more than $50 million in funding. This year's list features an array of fast-growing businesses who are catching the public's attention while showcasing trends in technology, health care, finance, retail, entertainment and more.

"Being listed alongside so many groundbreaking companies is an extreme honor," says Jack Kennedy, CEO and Founder of Platform Science. "When we set out to create Platform Science, our goal was to make a huge impact on the trucking market and the lives of drivers. To have the team's hard work honored by a nationally-recognized organization like CNBC is incredibly rewarding and makes us realize that we have entered a new phase on our road to revolutionize the transportation industry."

In 2019 alone, Platform Science has tripled its full-time headcount and moved into a new headquarters in La Jolla, CA. Now at 100 employees, the company plans to continue its rapid expansion by adding at least 20 more team members by the end of the year. The company has also been recognized by a number of additional organizations, being awarded San Diego Business Journal's "Best Places to Work", San Diego Union Tribune's "Top Workplaces" and a Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Award this year.
