Global Animal Partnership to Work Exclusively With EarthClaims for Certification Services

Global Animal Partnership (G.A.P.), creator of North America's most comprehensive farm animal welfare standards, and EarthClaims LLC, the international third-party verification services provider, announced today that G.A.P. has chosen EarthClaims to be its exclusive provider of certification services to farms and ranches in North America and the Caribbean.

"After working together since G.A.P. got started back in 2008, G.A.P. has decided to make our relationship with EarthClaims exclusive in North America and the Caribbean," said Anne Malleau, G.A.P. executive director. "As we move into our second decade, G.A.P. wants to meet growing demand with a dynamic and proven partner."

"We have been with G.A.P. since the start and could not be happier taking these next steps together. EarthClaims has grown into a full service certifier," said W.J. Friedman, EarthClaims CEO. "Partners seeking G.A.P. certification can also access our other verification services, such as Certified Organic, Never Ever 3, NHTC, Source and Age or Non-GMO Verified. We'll also be ready to add new G.A.P. programs as they roll out."

Future G.A.P. programs for North America and the Caribbean will also be accessible through EarthClaims. G.A.P. will work with partners on any transition issues, including labeling and bundling services.

Global Animal Partnership is one of the largest animal welfare standards and labeling organizations in North America. Established in 2008, GAP impacts the welfare of over 416 million animals each year through third-party certification of more than 3,800 farms, supplying products to over 5,000 outlets. GAP believes that meaningful label claims, validated by third-party audits on every farm, are key to influencing the industry, raising consumer expectations, and creating long-lasting change for farm animals.

EarthClaims provides private, third-party verification services to clients worldwide, designing and implementing comprehensive supply chain oversight systems that verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Their clients enjoy protected brand integrity and expanded green-market access.
