A Trail Through the Islands: A New Attraction for Sightseers at Parc Jean-Drapeau


MONTRÉAL, Oct. 18, 2019 /CNW Telbec/ - With the fall foliage season upon us, the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau invites outdoor enthusiasts to come and discover the dazzling colours along the Sentier des îles. This new layout for pedestrians enables visitors to be naturally guided through its huge, expansive area. By following the ground markers comprised of a blue line (6 km) and a green line (10 km), visitors can take a stroll on Notre-Dame and Sainte-Hélène islands to enjoy the heritage buildings, the green spaces that have been laid out and the array of public art works spread throughout the islands.

To enhance the experience, we recommend you pick up a pamphlet at the Espace 67 information pavilion; the pamphlet has a detailed description of every attraction you encounter along the route.

The new project was done in collaboration with the Intégral Jean Beaudoin workshop, and it is designed to get people out walking and encourage active mobility at Parc Jean Drapeau.
