H Code Partners With The Panamanian International Film Festival In Los Angeles To Spotlight Empowering, Diverse Voices

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- H Code, the only advertising entity reaching the U.S. Hispanic market at scale digitally, is delighted to announce today its sponsorship of PANAFEST 2019 and partnership with the Panamanian International Film Festival in Los Angeles (PIFF/LA), which recognizes emerging Latinx filmmakers and celebrates cinema, culture, and the Latinx community.

Founded by renowned actor/filmmaker Carlos Carrasco, known for his work in classic films like Blood In Blood Out and Speed, PIFF/LA was created to showcase the growing film industry in Panama, cultivate connections and exchanges with the U.S. film industry, and feature works by Latinx filmmakers from around the world. "H Code's core purpose is to showcase the immense power and influence of the Hispanic audience and create authentic connections between that community and the media industry," said Parker Morse, CEO of H Code. "We are thrilled to partner with an organization like PIFF/LA, whose own objectives align so perfectly with our own and further promote the importance of Latinx voices and stories."

Celebrating its fifth year, PANAFEST 2019 will take place October 18-20, 2019 at The Downtown Independent in Los Angeles. Together, H Code and PIFF/LA will present the H Code | Most Empowering Latinx Voice award during the film festival to an extraordinary individual who, through their storytelling and filmmaking, empower the Latinx community and elevate Latinx stories among audiences worldwide. "PANAFEST is a celebration of artistic expression and Latinx narratives present and important to our community. In H Code, we have found a like-minded partner who understands the need for diverse voices, for driving awareness about the Panamanian film industry, and for spotlighting and empowering Latinx talent," adds Carrasco. The two organizations will also come together for a unique industry panel of media and entertainment professionals speaking to the "Colorism, Racism and Other Isms in Television & Film" through a Panamanian perspective and hosted by Maylin De Leon, Director of Brand Development at H Code.

Through its efforts, H Code strives to be a genuine voice in the U.S. Hispanic space. This news follows other partnerships with leaders across the Americas and Spain, such as El Comercio, Radio Mitre SA, AmericaTV, and more. To learn more about PANAFEST 2019 or purchase tickets, visit piffla.com.
