Local Seniors' Community Resident Celebrates 109th Birthday

SURREY, BC, Sept. 25, 2019 /CNW/ - Amenida Seniors' Community resident, Mr. Ja Hyung Lee celebrated his 109^th birthday with a special celebration at his care home this past week. Mr. Lee, who was born in South Korea, still plays pool, bingo, and takes the bus on his own.

Amenida Seniors' Community and the centre's owner, Dr. Peter Chung, hosted a birthday celebration to mark this amazing milestone with MLA Harry Bains and Senator Yonah Martin in attendance. Greetings were also sent from Premier John Horgan.

Family and friends shared a celebratory meal and cake with Mr. Lee - and sang Happy Birthday in both Korean and English.

"We were honoured to have the opportunity to share in such a special milestone with Mr. Lee," said Dr. Chung. "We would all be lucky to live a life as full as his has been."

Amenida Seniors' Community, a division of Primacorp Ventures, has provided supportive living for seniors for more than 20 years.
