SwiftStack Brings World's First Multi-Cloud AI/ML Data Management Solution to The AI Summit San Francisco

SwiftStack, the leader in multi-cloud data storage and management, today announced that it will be demonstrating its customer-proven, edge-to-core-to-cloud solution that supports large-scale Artificial Intelligence/Machine and Deep Learning (AI/ML/DL) workflows in Booth No. 216 at The AI Summit in San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts September 25 and 26.

The emergence of AI/ML workloads has created a new set of challenges for organizations, while the rise of GPU computing is enabling massive parallelism and several petaflops (floating-point operations per second) of computational power. It has been difficult for these environments to build and manage a storage infrastructure that provides appropriate scale and concurrent performance. Among other verticals, the transportation vertical has been heavily disrupted by AI/ML. Autonomous vehicles (AV's) have become the flagship use case for transformational $10T Mobility-as-a-Service market. Automakers, fleet operators and software-defined car companies are racing to build AV's at various SAE (Society of automotive engineers) levels - Level 2+ which is partial automation to Level 5 which is full automation. However, building software-defined autonomous vehicles is difficult. Every neural net in the software stack needs to handle thousands of conditions and geolocations. Data, access to large data-sets (storage and I/O infrastructure) and data management takes the center stage for a successful, production grade AV platform.

SwiftStack's AI/ML solution delivers massive storage parallelism and throughput needed for ingest, training and inferencing; a scale-out global namespace for access to data whether on-premises or in one or more clouds; data services such as tagging, search, and metadata management to support AI/ML workflows; and Kubernetes and TensorFlow support. Additionally, the solution extends to public clouds to take advantage of cloud-bursting and economies of scale, while data is secured on-premises.

"The AI Summit is an ideal venue for showcasing how our unique solution overcomes the limitations of traditional storage architectures to deliver the performance, scale and value required of modern AI/ML workloads," said Shailesh Manjrekar, Head of AI/ML Solutions Marketing and Corporate Development at SwiftStack. "Unlike many proof-of-concept solutions, our multi-cloud AI/ML data management solution has already been successfully deployed in real-world use cases like autonomous vehicles and as such can provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of how it can be deployed to solve the most-pressing issues facing those trying to get out in front of this disruptive market."

The 4th Annual AI Summit is the world's largest AI event for business. The AI Summit offers attendees answers to how they can grasp the opportunities that AI offers and what they need to do to consider planning their AI roadmap with the knowledge, tools and experience needed to change the face of business for good. With hundreds of leading organizations, those attending The AI Summit will hear from the brightest minds and glean exclusive insights into pioneering AI projects from all corners of the industry.
