Monmouth Mobile Home Park Hits a Hole in One for the American Cancer Society

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J., Sept. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The event takes place on Thursday, October 17, at the Forsgate Country Club, 375 Forsgate Drive, Monroe Township, NJ 08831. Registration and breakfast starts at 8 a.m., with a 9:30 a.m. Shotgun Start (scramble format).

"Arthur was passionate about helping others and this cause is something he cared deeply about, so I think putting on this tournament in his honor is a fitting tribute," said Daniel Mandell, manager of Monmouth Mobile Home Park, whose father-in-law was Arthur A. Roedel, former owner of Monmouth Mobile Home Park, whom the tournament is named after.

The tournament takes place on what would have been Arthur Roedel Jr.'s 76th birthday. Arthur died on July 3, 2017, from Multiple Myeloma. He dedicated his life to helping others through his volunteerism and fundraising. In honor of Arthur, the tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) is a fun day of golf to raise money to support cancer treatment and patient programs. It will be hosted by Keri Mandell, who has partnered with ACS to raise money and awareness for the cause through her participation in the World Marathon Challenge -- 7 marathons, 7 consecutive days on 7 continents.

In addition to breakfast and golf, the Arthur A. Roedel Jr. Golf Classic includes prizes, a refreshment cart, lunch, locker room access and a driving range. The cost per foursome is $1,300 (cost per golfer, $325). For more information and to register online, please visit https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/arthur-a-roedel-jr-golf-classic.

To donate directly to the American Cancer Society, please visit https://www.cancer.org/. Tax-deductible donations fund lifesaving research, treatment and care -- and would mean so much to someone fighting cancer.
