ROLLOGO launches a crowdfunding campaign for second-generation carry-on with power-generating wheel

HONG KONG, Sept. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, ROLLOGO launched a crowdfunding campaign for ESCAPE S, a self-charging carry-on suitcase that helps travelers stay connected and organized on the go. It is available on the Kickstarter platform starting at $399 USD.

"As airlines start to charge more for checked luggage, more people are opting to just bring a carry-on," said ROLLOGO founder and CEO Stevenson Lau. "But, this presents some pain points?keeping everything organized, fitting everything you need, not to mention killing time in airports, searching for power outlets. We designed the ESCAPE S to address these annoyances."

Central to the carry-on's design is the BOND smart power bank. BOND charges kinetically as a user walks via power-generating wheels. The company's patented electric generating spinner wheels provide a light and smooth rolling experience while providing continuous power to BOND. A suspension system protects the wheels from hard drops and makes traveling through rough terrains smooth. BOND is equipped with Bluetooth and two standard USB ports.

"Our biggest design challenge was to seamlessly integrate everything a traveler could possibly need into a compact design," said designer Frédéric Gooris. "After careful iteration, the result is a smart, future-forward and cabin-friendly solution."

ESCAPE S features a flat top surface that accommodates a laptop, handbag or beverage. A slim side compartment protects laptops and mobile devices while allowing for quick removal during security screening. An easy-access top compartment houses all on-board essentials including boarding pass, passport, wallet, pen, sunglasses and more. Without having to unlock the main compartment, travelers can easily reach for books or magazines via the front pocket with a magnetic door. ESCAPE S also comes with a TSA 3-digit combination lock with key for worry-free travel to the USA.

Additionally, Escape S contains removable storage including a garment bag that protects suits from wrinkling on the road, a travel toiletry bag with a stow-away swivel hook for hanging and a foldable suitcase cover in a water-resistant fabric for added protection from water and dust.

ROLLOGO's accompanying app provides intel on battery level and links to luggage for tracking. It contains other helpful travel information like international currency exchange rates, packing list, and location records.

ESCAPE S is the second-generation product in the ESCAPE series. A notable improvement from the original is a new, 100% water and stain-resistant material made from hydrophobic fabric, which uses the world's thinnest modified cross-section nanofibers. The result is an extremely durable, liquid and stain-resistant surface that provides a mottled effect based on a mixture of colors.
