DIRTT names Jennifer Warawa as chief commercial officer

CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DIRTT Environmental Solutions Ltd. ("DIRTT" or the "Company") (TSX: DRT), an interior construction company that uses technology for client-driven design and manufacturing, names Jennifer Warawa as its chief commercial officer, effective September 16, 2019.

As a member of DIRTT's executive leadership team in this newly created position, Warawa will focus on evolving DIRTT's sales and marketing efforts into a model that can achieve sustained and aggressive revenue growth. Within that mandate, Warawa will create and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive sales in alignment with DIRTT's overall business strategy. She will be integral to the success of DIRTT's sales and partner support teams and its global partner network, along with marketing, communications and related growth initiatives. Warawa will report to DIRTT CEO Kevin O'Meara.

"Jennifer has an innate understanding of how to identify and connect with key customers, which she combines with a wealth of sales and marketing experience," says O'Meara. "She's an outstanding addition to DIRTT's leadership team and I know her fresh perspectives and experience will be invaluable as we capitalize on DIRTT's position as a leader in prefab interiors."

Warawa has more than 20 years' experience creating innovative business-to-business sales and marketing programs that achieve dramatic sales growth, including more than 10 years propelling growth through partner channels.

"DIRTT has optimized every aspect of the interior construction process and redefined how customers plan, design, build and adapt spaces, because management understands the power of an integrated technology-driven and people-powered building approach," says Warawa. "My experience creating programs that drive revenue growth across partner channels will complement DIRTT's incredible value proposition as we build on what has been achieved over the past 15 years. I look forward to the possibilities ahead and being part of the team that brings those possibilities to life."

Prior to joining DIRTT, Warawa was the executive vice president of partners, accountants and alliances at Sage, a multi-billion dollar, publicly traded global software company. She joined Sage in 2008 and held a number of other executive leadership positions during her tenure, including global vice president of product marketing and several vice president and director positions. Warawa began her career by starting a firm dedicated to serving the finance and accounting needs of small and medium-sized businesses, growing it over a span of 12 years. This experience provided her with a unique perspective into how to effectively scale DIRTT's business, and insights into the experience of DIRTT's owner-operated distribution partners.

Known as a thought leader within the industry, Warawa has been recognized numerous times for her industry achievements by CRN, a leading source for technology channel news, analysis, and insight. She has also been recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor and the AICPA, and has appeared on Accounting Today's Top 100 Most Influential People list for the past nine years. Warawa's first day with DIRTT is September 16, 2019.
