New Eating Disorder Recovery Program to Open in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Aug. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Alsana, an integrative and data-driven eating recovery program, will open a new location in Huntsville, Ala. in early 2020. Alsana will offer an eating disorder treatment program for adults 18+ with a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The integrative program will provide a continuum of care as clients progress through the stages of recovery.

The Huntsville location will operate five to seven days a week for four to 12 hours a day and will be spearheaded by longtime Huntsville eating disorder expert and resident, Tammy Beasley, RDN, CEDRD, CSSD, LD. Beasley is a veteran in eating disorder recovery treatment with more than 25 years of industry experience. She will be an integral part of the program launch along with Ronda Cannon, Regional Executive Director, and Amber Parris, LICSW, CEDS ?? two experienced eating disorder program leaders who have continued to grow Alsana's services in Alabama.

"We have decided to expand our offerings within the Alabama market to meet the unfulfilled demand in the Huntsville community," Beasley said. "We are passionate about providing care to those with eating disorders and assisting clients on their recovery journey."

Alsana's program is based on the Adaptive Care ModelTM ? the only integrated and evidence-based approach to eating disorder recovery in the industry. The model was developed through a collaboration of a nationally renowned clinical leadership team comprised of registered dietitians, therapists, doctors and industry experts, and focuses on the five dimensions of health: therapeutic, nutritional, medical, movement and relational.

From the Latin roots meaning "all" or "total health," Alsana offers a new philosophy of care centered on a client's full well-being. Alsana uses an evidence-based treatment that addresses all aspects of eating disorders that often go untreated in traditional recovery programs.
