Trex Fraternity of California Convention Labor Day Weekend 2019; Orange County Attorney Jack Kayajanian Named Grand Master at Annual Event

The Trex Fraternity of California's Annual Labor Day Convention will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Newport Beach, Calif., on Labor Day weekend, beginning August 30, 2019.

This event is hosted by the Orange County Chapter of the Trex Fraternity, who will nominate outstanding member and prominent Orange County attorney Jack Kayajanian Grand Master of the Trex Fraternity of California for the 2019-2020 year.

In addition to the appointment of Kayajanian, the fraternity will be celebrating its 101st year of existence. Trex is a non-political, non-religious fraternity of Armenian brothers. For most of the 20th century, Armenian-Americans in California and Nevada have found Trex to be a crossroads for the Armenian-American community, bringing together hundreds of brother Trexmen and their families and friends from across 11 chapters for public service, charitable support, fellowship, and kef (Armenian word for merriment).

During the convention, the community is invited to a Tribute to the Honorable Governor George Deukmajian on Saturday, August 31. This event will be a dinner dance, complete with live Armenian and American Orchestras, and is a great opportunity for members and non-members to celebrate Armenian-American culture and enjoy fellowship together.
