Baird Advisors Expands Senior Team; Adds Municipal Bond Co-Leader

Employee-owned Baird announced today that veteran municipal bond portfolio manager Lyle Fitterer will join the Baird Advisors team on August 6. Fitterer will co-lead the municipal investment team with Duane McAllister and will become part of Baird Advisors' senior management team.

"As our business continues to grow, we remain focused on strengthening our team to assure that we continue to deliver the results our clients expect," said Mary Ellen Stanek, Chief Investment Officer. "The opportunity to add an investment professional of Lyle's caliber makes immense sense, and we are very excited to have him on our team." Baird Advisors currently manages more than $80 billion of client assets.

Fitterer spent more than 30 years at Wells Fargo Asset Management where he led the municipal fixed income team and co-led the global fixed income team. He is a proven municipal bond manager with a long-term track record. Fitterer retired at age 52 from Wells Fargo in June with plans to remain in Milwaukee and stay in the investment industry.

Fitterer will co-lead Baird Advisors' municipal team with Duane McAllister. McAllister and Fitterer worked together at Wells Fargo and share a similar and consistent investment approach. McAllister joined Baird a little over four years ago and helped broaden Baird Advisors' municipal offerings to better meet client needs. With Fitterer on board, the team will consider launching additional municipal funds/strategies.

"I couldn't be more excited to work side-by-side with Lyle once again," said McAllister, Senior Portfolio Manager. "In addition to being one of the most talented fixed income managers around, he is also a good friend and someone who will be a great cultural fit for Baird Advisors."

"This represents an opportunity to serve in a senior role at an established institutional bond manager with a stellar national reputation," said Fitterer. "It also offers the opportunity to work again with Duane and to be part of a private/employee-owned firm. I look forward to being part of Baird's team-oriented, client-first culture."
