Counselor and Former Pastor Releases Inspirational Guide to Help Those Struggling to Find God's Light

LYNCHBURG, Va., July 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author, licensed mental health counselor and former ordained pastor Francis Raj combines his Christian faith with his experience counseling patients to create a scripture-based, self-help guide for people with mental health conditions. In "Job: The Battered Lighthouse That Keeps on Shining," Raj utilizes the story of Job to explain the purpose of human suffering and ways that believers can cope while strengthening their relationship with the Lord.

Raj hopes that his book will encourage those who are suffering to turn to God and solidify their faith and trust in his plan. He uses the story of Job as an example of someone who lost everything yet stood unwavering in his conviction and was, in turn, blessed by God tenfold.

"Job shows us the human capacity of a righteous Christian redeemed by God, made alive and clothed with righteousness through His Son, Jesus Christ, and as one who anchors his faith and trust solely in God," Raj said. "My goal is to help those who are struggling to learn about a good, faithful and loving God who is available and ready to help them overcome and be healed."

Ultimately, this book helps Christians to further understand mental illness and other forms of suffering from a biblical perspective and offers engaging scriptures and other methods of coping to turn to in a time of crisis.
