If You Think Occupational Health is Expensive, Try Ignorance

TORONTO, July 22, 2019 /CNW/ - The Canadian Institutes of Health Research indicates that Musculoskeletal disorder (MSDs) is one of the most costly medical conditions in Canada, estimating direct and indirect costs to be in the $22 billion range (http://www.cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/48830.html). MSDs are also the number one type of lost-time work injury reported to the Workplace Safety Insurance Board in Ontario. (https://www.ontario.ca/page/ergonomics-workplace)

ergoCentric Seating Systems, a company who was founded specifically to design and manufacture ergonomic seating, today announced it will be the platinum sponsor of the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE) 50th annual national conference. The conference will be held August 12 ? 15, 2019 at the Delta Hotel and Conference Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland. This year's theme, "New Horizons" recognizes the ever-changing field of ergonomics and human factors and explores the future and the influences ergonomics will have on research and work practices.  ergoCentric will be in booth 18 and 25.

"Applying ergonomics principles to the workplace can reduce musculoskeletal injuries as well as improve productivity and quality of work," said Terry Cassaday, Founder of ergoCentric. "MSDs are a widespread and costly problem that can be avoided if organizations engage with ergonomists and provide their employees with proper workplace tools. With our high-performance task seating and height adjustable workstations, ergoCentric is ready and able to solve that problem for Canadian workers and employers."

In addition to being a platinum sponsor, ergoCentric will also exhibit the latest developments in its ergonomic task seating, such as the tCentric Hybrid, and height adjustable workstations at the conference.
