GEICO Board Names Rinella VP for Florida Operations


The GEICO Board of Directors has promoted Angela Rinella to vice president of the company's regional operations in Lakeland, Florida.

Since 2017, Rinella had been based at GEICO corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where she served as vice president in charge of GEICO's claims operations.

Rinella began her GEICO career in 2002 as a telephone claims representative at the company's Woodbury, New York, regional office. In 2004, she was part of the team that opened the GEICO regional office in Buffalo, New York. There, Rinella helped to establish the claims department before going on to serve in several management roles.

She was named liability director at the Lakeland regional office in 2009. She was elected assistant vice president of claims for the Fredericksburg, Virginia regional office in 2014; she held that position when she was named vice president of claims operations.

Rinella has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Medaille College.
