The Foundation for Global Sports Development Awards 10 Students the Exceptional Youth Scholarship

LOS ANGELES, July 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Foundation for Global Sports Development's Exceptional Youth Scholarship has been awarded to 10 college-bound students. The scholarship is in recognition of the students' outstanding academic achievements and commitment to community service. Each scholarship recipient will receive $5,000 to offset the costs of attending a four-year university or college.

Dr. Steven Ungerleider, GSD Executive Board Member, praised the students, "These ten scholarship award winners stood out from the other applicants because of their incredible academic performance, as well as their record of volunteer working within their communities."

"We want to find those students who value their community and are well poised to make a difference. Many deserving students lack the financial resources necessary to attend school, and we hope to remove that barrier with this scholarship."
