Media Advisory - Unifor sponsors 11th annual No Stone Unturned concert


WINNIPEG, July 18, 2019 /CNW/ - Unifor is proud to sponsor the 2019 "No Stone Unturned" free concert honouring Manitoba's missing and murdered.

"No Stone Unturned in an important community-driven effort to raise awareness and commit to ending systemic violence and work for reconciliation," said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President. "We're proud to be a part of this event and the broader movement it represents."

WHAT: Free music concert
WHEN: Saturday, July 27 from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Scheduled events include a Round Dance by George Spence, Candlelight Vigil/Drum, and a fireworks display
WHERE: St. John's Park, Winnipeg
WHO: Confirmed performances by Hector Menow, Indian City, C-Weed, Rhonda Head, DMP, Keira Barrett, Ivan Flett Memorial Dancers and Poplar River Steppers. Full schedule to follow.

Lunch onsite will be prepared by North End Helpers and dinner is provided by Big Deal Catering.

No Stone Unturned is an annual event organized by the family of Claudette Osborne-Tyo. Claudette was 21 years old when she disappeared from Winnipeg's north end. She was a mother (four children and now a grandson), a daughter, a sister (to many siblings), an aunt, and friend to many.
