SASKATOON, July 11, 2019 /CNW/ - Québec Premier François Legault announced today that Québec will host the next summer meeting of Canada's Premiers, from July 22-24, 2020.

Such annual Council of the Federation meetings allow Premiers to address issues that are important across Canada, including the economy, health, the environment, immigration, as well as the respect of provincial and territorial jurisdiction.

Quote:

"This meeting is essential to maintaining strong ties and collaboration between provinces and territories. We will work toward resolving issues of importance to all of our governments and citizens. It is my pleasure to host my provincial and territorial counterparts in our national capital next year as we continue our pursuit of successful cooperation."
François Legault, Premier of Québec

Québec City and the surrounding region, the cradle of the French presence in North America, is full of historical, cultural and natural attractions. The district of Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the surrounding natural wonders are recognized around the world.

About the Council of the Federation
