OTTAWA, July 8, 2019 /CNW/ - In advance of the 2019 Federal Election, the Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF/FCE) welcomes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to its Annual General Meeting to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing Canadians and Canada's teaching profession.
This one-on-one discussion, moderated by CTF/FCE Vice-President Heidi Yetman, is a unique opportunity to hear how the Prime Minister and his party plan to tackle challenges such as poverty, climate change, and achieving gender equity.
As part of the CTF/FCE's election campaign I Teach, I Vote, all of Canada's major political party leaders have been invited to take part in the chats at the AGM. The I Teach, I Vote campaign aims to inform and energize Canada's teachers ahead of election day.

Founded in 1920, the Canadian Teachers' Federation is the national voice for the teaching profession. As the national alliance of provincial and territorial teacher organizations, the CTF/FCE represents over 273,000 elementary and secondary school teachers across Canada. The CTF/FCE is also a member of Education International, the global body of national education organizations in 173 countries.
