LLamasoft to Host Ninth Annual LLamaCon Supply Chain Conference in Chicago

LLamasoft, the leading provider of enterprise supply chain design and decision-making solutions, is proud to welcome innovators, leaders, supply chain practitioners and partners from many of the world's leading companies to the ninth annual LLamaCon supply chain conference, taking place from June 18 to 20, 2019 at the Marriott Magnificent Mile in Chicago.

LLamaCon draws professionals and executives from a diverse set of industries to collaborate and learn about the latest technologies and trends in supply chain strategy, design and analytics. The conference includes a variety of sessions on topics that matter to chief supply chain officers and their teams such as digital transformation, market sensing and forecasting, supply chain sustainability, and customer-centric supply chain strategy. The majority of sessions are presented by customers, making the use cases timely, relevant and proven.

"LLamaCon has become the leading industry user conference for supply chain innovators," said Razat Gaurav, CEO of LLamasoft. "LLamasoft customers are responsible for more than $13 trillion of goods flowing through global supply chains. Their stories of business achievements made possible with LLamasoft solutions will help to pave the way for similar results in other customer environments. This event is also going to be a great venue for our customers and partners to get an understanding of our go-forward vision and product strategy as we work towards our mission to elevate lives and organizations through the science of smarter decision-making."

LLamaCon 2019 will offer inspiring keynote addresses from philosopher and author of The New York Times bestseller The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable, Nassim Nicholas Taleb; Executive Vice President Supply Chain Reuben Slone of Advance Auto Parts; Partner Sam Israelit of Bain & Company; Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Toby Brzoznowski of LLamasoft, and CEO Razat Gaurav of LLamasoft.

LLamasoft is taking steps to reduce the carbon footprint of its annual user conference and hosting a Sustainability Roundtable where customers will share ideas about how they can positively impact the environment and save capital by reducing delivery miles and waste. There will be no plastic water bottles at LLamaCon, all utensils will be reusable and printed agendas have been eliminated (all the event information is available on the LLamaCon mobile app). The Marriott Magnificent Mile was selected because it has its own sustainability initiatives.

LLamasoft's Team is dedicated to improving under-served supply chains and has partnered with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) to offer a virtual food drive, at this year's event. GCFD is Chicago's food bank and serves as a hub for a network of more than 700 food pantries, working to expand access to nutritious food and address the root causes of hunger. LLamasoft's Global Impact Team designed a dynamic routing solution for GCFD based on area codes, poundage and client areas. As a result, GCFD was able to save significant costs in fuel and dispatching, purchase more food, and deliver 72 million pounds of food. Looking ahead, GCFD plans to use their supply chain expertise to create a program that serves the older adult community of Cook County.

LLamaCon was named a "Best Supply Chain Shows for 2019" by Forbes. To learn more about the event, visit www.LLamaCon.net. To register for the event, click here, or follow the conference on social media using the hashtag #LLamaCon
